This policy explains how returns, exchanges and refund requests are handled for purchases made from Fundi Products.

Overview

Fundi Products supplies school project kits, components and selected hardware-related products in South Africa. We want customers to receive the correct products in good condition.

Defective, damaged or incorrect products

If a product is defective, damaged on arrival, or the wrong item was supplied, please contact us as soon as possible after receiving the order.

Where a product is defective or does not meet the standards required by South African consumer protection law, we will handle the matter in line with the Consumer Protection Act and any other applicable law.

Depending on the situation, this may include inspection of the product and, where applicable, repair, replacement, exchange, or refund.

Return window

Please contact Fundi Products as soon as possible after receiving your order if there is a defect, damage, missing item, or incorrect product. Faster reporting helps us review the issue and confirm the next step.

Exchanges

We may accept exchanges where the product is defective, damaged, incorrect, or where an exchange has been approved by us in writing.

Items that cannot be returned

We do not generally accept returns for change-of-mind purchases, ordering the wrong item, or products that are no longer wanted, unless we specifically approve the return in writing.

If we approve a non-defective return, the product must be unused, complete, in its original packaging where possible, and in a resaleable condition.

  • The product has been used, damaged, altered, cut, modified, assembled incorrectly, or misused after delivery.
  • Parts or packaging are missing.
  • The product was bought for a special order, custom requirement, or bulk order, unless defective or incorrectly supplied.
  • The return is not allowed for hygiene, safety, or legal reasons.
  • The customer was made aware of a specific defect or condition before purchase and accepted the product in that condition.

How to request a return

To request a return or exchange, please contact Fundi Products with:

  • Your order number or proof of purchase.
  • Your name and contact details.
  • Photos of the product and packaging where relevant.
  • A short explanation of the issue.

Please do not send products back before the return request has been reviewed and approved.

Refunds

If a refund is approved, it will usually be processed using the original payment method where possible. Refund timing may depend on the payment provider or bank.

Return shipping

If the return is due to a defective, damaged, or incorrectly supplied product, we will handle return shipping in line with applicable law and the specific situation.

For approved non-defective returns, the customer may be responsible for return shipping costs.
